Most weekends, I like for there to be spaciousness. This spaciousness lends itself to slow mornings with coffee, a moment with the birds chirping and the windows to stay open. Slow weekends allow for time spent in the mid-day sunlight, and creates space to put on my favorite song and dance around the living room to it (I currently am being a nerd and listening to this song from my childhood on repeat).
Spaciousness on the weekend also lends itself very well to spontaneity. Some of my favorite weekends are the ones when I said yes to an invite, and let the day take its shape from there.
So, here’s a little photo inspiration for slower weekends. In these photos I am wearing The Pockets Project newest dress style, released just a few days ago. The Pockets Project is a brilliant new brand that makes gorgeous linen dresses with the DEEPEST pockets. I wore another style in their collection to work a few weeks ago and could fit everything in my pockets with ease. For the launch of the new dress, they’ve partnered with tinned fish brand, Siesta Co to stuff the pockets with tins of fish. (A dream!) I invited Hallie over to capture some of the slowness of last Sunday, and we made a little snack-y dinner spread together. Hallie also made the most delicious yet simple summer salad with fresh peaches and crisp radishes, topped with Dan and my favorite spice, za’atar. And, be sure to scroll to the bottom of the newsletter for a little surprise!

There’s something about this share that makes me so very happy. I feel warm and I just want to ask you to past the butter so that I can slather it on some bread.
