Hotel Greystone, 1920 Collins Ave, Miami Beach.
Highlights:
The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. I cozied up to many a rainstorm in bed watching junk TV, and at night, went up to my very own rooftop jacuzzi. If you’re in the main building, watching the sun set over the pool during happy hour is quite delightful.
Greystone is only a block or two away from the beach and is equipped with free chair rentals. I spent an inordinate amount of time on the beach and enjoyed the proximity!
The hotel bar feels like a blast back to the early 2000s in the best way. One evening, when I was feeling lazy, I sat at the bar. The bartenders were so kind and made a perfectly balanced mocktail for me.
The whole staff is incredible. Attentive, friendly, and happy to assist at every turn. When I arrived, I asked for a tea kettle to be sent to the room, and they offered to leave some tea bags with it. I asked for chamomile, since I don’t love caffeinated tea. The kettle arrived with an assortment of green and black tea bags, and I just set them aside. The following morning, a team member knocked on my door with a box of chamomile tea and a handwritten note apologizing for the delay on the specific tea I had requested. I know that they went out of their way to purchase it, and it was incredibly thoughtful. Moments like this one make a lasting impression.
